The applications submitted to the programs of the Ministry of Environment and Energy “Save 2023” and “Save – Renovate for young people” reached 38,228.
The total budget of the applications was 510,135,056 euros. The submission process was completed at midnight last Wednesday (15/11) and the provisional lists of successful candidates will be announced soon.
In particular, as announced by the Ministry of Environment and Energy, the interest expressed per program is as follows:
31,549 applications, with a total budget of 422,105,074 euros, were submitted to “Excoionamo 2023” from all Regions of the country. Specifically, 2,701 applications were submitted from the Region of Eastern Macedonia & Thrace, 5,822 from Attica, 482 from the North Aegean, 2,922 from Western Greece.
Applications reached 1,854 from Western Macedonia, 2,190 from Epirus, 3,670 from Thessaly, 277 from the Region of the Ionian Islands, 6,362 from Central Macedonia, 1,538 from Crete, 563 from the South Aegean, 1,557 from the Peloponnese and 1,611 from Central Greece.
6,679 applications were submitted to “Save – Renovate for young people”, from all Regions of the country, with a total budget of 88,029,982 euros. It is noted that out of the 6,679 applications, 3,836 also concern the renovations part, as through the program the possibility of a complete upgrade of houses (energy-functional-aesthetic) is provided.
Specifically, regarding the total of 6,679 applications submitted, 496 come from the Region of Eastern Macedonia & Thrace, 1,752 from Attica, 124 from the Northern Aegean, 530 from Western Greece, 270 from Western Macedonia, 288 from Epirus, 577 from Thessaly, 62 from the Ionian Islands Region, 1,631 from Central Macedonia, 341 from Crete, 127 from the South Aegean Region, 237 from the Peloponnese and 244 from Sterea Greece.
In general, the following categories of interventions are supported through the programs: 1. replacement of frames, 2. installation/upgrade of thermal insulation, 3. heating/cooling system upgrade, 4. domestic hot water system (ZNX) using Renewable Energy Sources (RES). and 5. other energy saving interventions (smart home management system).
The programs “Save 2023” and “Save – Renovate for young people” are supported by the Recovery and Resilience Fund and aim to promote the national and EU energy policy for energy saving, through upgrading the energy class of households, by at least 3 energy categories (over 30% primary energy savings). The “Renovate” part of the program is also supported by resources from the Public Employment Service (PSE).
It is estimated that the total investment of the “Excoionamo” programs will contribute to energy savings of at least 213 ktoe per year and to the energy renovation of at least 105,000 homes by 2025.
