Rapper Quando Rondo Sentenced to Over 2 Years in Federal Drug Case
Tyquian Bowman, better known as hip-hop artist Quando Rondo, has been sentenced to 33 months in federal prison for his involvement in a drug trafficking conspiracy. The sentence, handed down by a judge, also includes three years of supervised release after his incarceration.
Guilty Plea in Drug Conspiracy
The 25-year-old rapper pleaded guilty to a single count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute marijuana this past August. He faced a maximum sentence of five years in federal prison.
Request for Local Prison Placement
Bowman’s attorney requested that his client serve his sentence at either the prison in Jesup or Estill. The judge, however, has not yielded to this request. Bowman is scheduled to report to prison on January 10, 2025.
In addition to prison time, Bowman has been ordered to pay a $40,000 fine. His sentence is concurrent with any potential sentences arising from pending charges in Chatham County.
