Saudi Supreme Court’s directive to sight the moon of Dhul-Hijjah on Sunday

The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia has appealed to see the moon of Dhul-Hijjah on Sunday and directed that in case of sighting of the moon, the testimony should be registered in the local court.

According to the Arab media, the Saudi Supreme Court issued a statement saying that the moon of the last month of the Islamic year will be seen on Sunday. People are requested to make special arrangements for moon sighting.

It has been said in the statement that the moon can be seen with the eyes and those who want to see it with a telescope will also be allowed. Register your testimony immediately if the moon is sighted.

In other Gulf countries including Saudi Arabia, the moon of Dhul-Hijjah is likely to be sighted on June 18, and according to this calculation, the main day of Hajj, Waqf Arafah, is expected on Tuesday, June 27, and Eid al-Adha is expected on June 28.

Similarly, Eid-ul-Azha in Pakistan is likely to be on June 28 or 29.

Dhul-Hijjah is the blessed month in which the Hajj, one of the five pillars of Islam, is performed. For which Muslims from all over the world flock to Saudi Arabia.

Apart from this, a sacrifice is performed in this month to commemorate the sacrifice of his son Ismail (peace be upon him) in fulfillment of God’s command.

The Lord of the Worlds found Hazrat Ibrahim to have passed a severe test, and miraculously, at the time of turning the knife in place of his son Hazrat Ismail, Danba appeared.

In memory of this event, Muslims sacrifice a camel, cow, goat or donkey every year on Dhu al-Hijjah.
