“Saudi Sudan Mission: Over 5,000 Evacuees Safely Rescued, Including UN Officials, by Saudi Arabia”

Riyadh: 1866 people arrived in Jeddah on Saturday through the Saudi Sudan mission. With this, the number of people evacuated from conflict-affected areas in Sudan and brought to Saudi Arabia has reached 5,000. Yesterday, the largest number of people were brought from Sudan in the Saudi rescue mission.

So far 139 Saudi nationals have been evacuated from Sudan. Meanwhile 4,879 people are from other countries. Citizens from countries including Australia, Germany, UK, Netherlands, Rwanda and Egypt were able to escape from Sudan through the Saudi rescue mission. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia informed regarding this.

UN officials were among those evacuated from Sudan on Saturday. The Saudi Ministry of Interior has also announced that it is working in harmony with the relevant ministries to prepare a safe passage for the citizens of foreign countries from Sudan.
