RIYADH: Energy Minister Amir Abdulaziz bin Salman, who is also the Saudi head of the Joint Saudi-Russian Intergovernmental Committee on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation, and Russian Deputy Prime Minister at a high-level meeting in Riyadh to stick to the OPEC Plus decision to cut oil production until the end of this year. The decision was taken in a meeting with Alexander Novak in Riyadh.
Alexander Novak is also the head of the Russian side of the joint committee that is currently visiting Saudi Arabia. Both sides decided to stick to the OPEC+ decision to cut oil production as appropriate and realistic until the end of the year.
The two discussed the preparations for the next meeting of the joint committee and the interests of both countries under the committee’s scope.
Last October, OPEC Plus, a group of oil producing countries, decided to cut production to two million barrels per day until the end of 2023. Both sides also decided to continue Saudi-Russian cooperation within the OPEC Plus framework.
