Today, Tuesday, the Saudi Ministry of the Interior issued a statement regarding the implementation of the death sentence, as a ta’zir, for one of the perpetrators in the eastern region (Anwar bin Jaafar bin Mahdi Al Alawi – a Saudi national) for participating with a number of security wanted persons by shooting at a police station, and providing assistance to a security wanted person by covering up. He must provide shelter and clear the way for him, and possess weapons and ammunition.

After his referral to the Specialized Criminal Court, a document was issued once morest the Al Alawi family proving his guilt in what was attributed to him, and a judgment to kill him as a discretionary measure.

Today, Tuesday, on 10/19/1444 AH, corresponding to 5/9/2023 AD, the death sentence was implemented by the offender, Anwar bin Jaafar bin Mahdi Al Alawi, in Dammam, in the eastern region.

The Ministry of the Interior affirmed “the keenness of the Kingdom’s government to establish security, achieve justice, and implement God’s rulings once morest anyone who transgresses the innocent or spills their blood,” and warned at the same time, “whoever tempts himself to commit such criminal terrorist acts that the Sharia punishment will be his fate.”
