Saudi Arabia .. The truth of the video “blood escaping from the ground” next to the Kaaba

Pages and accounts on social networking sites in Arabic circulate a video showing blood in the Great Mosque of Mecca next to the Kaaba, claiming that it is “a miraculous phenomenon that occurs in conjunction with certain occasions in Islamic history.”

But this video in fact depicts the blood of a person who was injured during a stampede during the Hajj in 2017, according to AFP.

The video shows a spot of blood on the ground in the Great Mosque of Mecca next to the Kaaba, and a number of pilgrims or Umrah pilgrims and security personnel gather around it.

The accompanying comments stated that this video shows blood flowing from the ground in the Haram on the anniversary of the birth of Imam Ali bin Abi Talib. Others said that blood was shed on the anniversary of the killing of his son Hussein, grandson of the Prophet Muhammad, in his war once morest the Umayyads. And this clip had previously appeared with the claim that it showed the remains of a man who wanted to carry out a suicide bombing in the Great Mosque of Mecca.

It was stated in the comments that this video shows blood coming out of the ground in the Haram on the anniversary of the birth of Imam Ali

But all the claims made regarding this video are not true.

In the clip, a man can be heard speaking in Urdu. According to the translation provided by the journalists of the Islamabad office in Agence France-Presse, the man does not mention miraculous blood, but rather talks regarding an accident that occurred while some were trying to reach the Black Stone in the midst of crowds.

The man with the voice says, “As you can see, in these moments, while kissing the Black Stone (unintelligible words) a big accident happened…No one should try to kiss the Black Stone in crowds. A big accident just happened, all of you are requested to spare no effort. Senior, don’t try to kiss the Black Stone… It’s a difficult time.”

Often there is a large crowd and a rush to reach the Black Stone, knowing that touching or kissing it is not one of the obligations of Hajj.

Subsequently, it was possible to find a clip depicting the same incident, and it appears clearly that the clip was published in 2017, and was taken in the same place near the Black Stone.

The Saudi authorities commented on this incident at the time, saying that a person in his fifties of African nationality was injured following falling to the ground, and was taken to the hospital.

In addition, the Saudi Minister of Health, Fahd bin Abdul Rahman Al-Jalajil, confirmed that the Kingdom has not yet recorded any epidemic outbreaks, diseases, or events threatening public health, according to (Was).

He explained that during the month of Ramadan, the ministry recruited more than 18,000 manpower to serve pilgrims and visitors, noting that during the twenty days of the month, more than 7,200 pilgrims were served through emergency centers, Al-Haram Hospital, and hospitals in the Holy Capital, 36 emergency surgeries were performed, and 291 Hemodialysis and 20 catheters.
