Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Activists circulated on social media, videos and photos showing live fish that appeared in the torrents that took place in the Taif Governorate (east of Makkah Al Mukarramah), which sparked an interaction in which activists pointed out that there is no sea near the city.

And local Saudi media circulated videos showing fish that appeared in the torrents, including the Al-Manateq newspaper, which commented on the video clip: “Fishes appeared in the waters of the Taif rain torrents.”

For its part, it was previously reported by the Taif Governorate Municipality that, “The Secretariat’s specialists monitored the aforementioned site and the surrounding sites, and the site was placed under continuous monitoring by the Al-Sail Al-Kabeer Municipality, and the Municipality coordinated with the competent authorities to follow up on the situation following the torrents had led to the flooding of one of the Dams with the Great Stream.
The Municipality called upon citizens and residents to report any cases that violate health and municipal requirements, and the Secretariat also thanked everyone for the cooperation and continuous communication with it in order to provide a healthy and sound environment.
The Taif Governorate had posted a video clip of torrential rains on its official page on the social networking site, Twitter, commenting: “The good rain that fell today on the Great Torrent in the Taif Governorate… We ask God to benefit the people and the country with it… Photograph by the poet: Mastoor Al Dhuwaibi.” .
