The Haditha land port of Saudi Arabia is located on the border with Jordan.

For its part, the Jordanian Ministry of Agriculture denied that the origin of this shipment was from inside Jordan, and confirmed in a statement, on Friday, that the Kingdom “at this time of the year does not export pomegranates, but rather imports them to provide them to the local market.”

It also indicated that the circulated images of tomatoes containing Captagon are not of Jordanian origin, as this has been confirmed, and there is no record of this shipment by Jordanian exporters.

The statement added that the Saudi authorities did not inform the official authorities in Jordan of the existence of any shipment of Jordanian origin that was rejected or arrested.

The ministry stated that many “Syrian goods pass through Jordanian territory in transit towards the Haditha crossing to enter Saudi Arabia.”
