Saudi Arabia must obtain prior permission for those going to Qatar with a vehicle

The Saudi Public Security Department has announced that those coming from Saudi Arabia with private vehicles must have prior permission to enter Qatar. Vehicles arriving at the border without obtaining permission will be sent back. The security department also clarified that those using the bus service should have the reservation documents for the same.

The Public Security Department issued a warning amid increased traffic on the Saudi-Qatar border. All documents must be presented including the reservation obtained at Qatar Parking. The Saudi public security department said vehicles that do not will be turned back before reaching the border.

Those relying on bus services by parking their vehicles at the Salwa border should also have reservation documents for traveling in buses. The security department said that those who do not produce sufficient bus reservation documents will be stopped at the check post.

The main requirement is that those traveling to Qatar in their own vehicles must obtain a vehicle permit through the Qatar Ministry of Interior portal twelve hours prior to travel. The tightening of the conditions came as people with GCC residence status were allowed to travel to Qatar without a Haya card.
