Saudi Arabia leads the coalition to create a Palestinian state

Saudi Arabia is organizing a coalition to create a Palestinian state, said the kingdom’s Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan. According to him, this is how the “two-state solution” will be implemented, SPA reports.

The Saudi minister spoke at the meeting, which took place on the sidelines of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly. He stressed that the war in Gaza has caused a humanitarian catastrophe, in addition to the serious violations committed by Israeli forces in the West Bank and the threat to the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Self-defense cannot justify the killing of tens of thousands of civilians, the practice of systematic destruction, forced displacement, the use of starvation as an instrument of war, incitement and dehumanization, and systematic torture in its worst forms, including sexual violence and other crimes documented by UN reports

said bin Farhan.

The diplomat pointed to the current escalation of the situation in the region, which now affects “the brotherly Lebanese Republic.” There is a danger of a “regional war that threatens the region and the whole world.” The head of the Saudi Arabian Foreign Ministry demanded an immediate cessation of hostilities and announced the creation of an international coalition on Palestine.

Today, on behalf of Arab and Islamic countries and our European partners, we announce the creation of the “International Coalition to Realize the Two-State Solution”, and we invite you to join this initiative

– the diplomat emphasized.
