The ministry explained that the seasonal influenza vaccine is a very important preventive measure to reduce serious health complications that may require the infected to be admitted to intensive care or may lead to death, God forbid.
She pointed out that the home vaccination service is available through the “Sehhaty” application, where beneficiaries can request the service and specify the appropriate location and time for the visit, with the possibility of vaccinating more than one person in one visit, which facilitates obtaining the vaccine for all family members.
This service aims to facilitate access to the vaccine for citizens and residents, especially the most vulnerable groups, including children, the elderly, those with chronic diseases, pregnant women, and health sector workers.
This pioneering step reflects the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s keenness on the health and safety of all members of society, and confirms its leadership in providing innovative and high-quality health services.
