The statement quoted the official spokesman for the Saudi Falcons Club, Walid Al-Tawil, as saying that the auction, which was held in its fourth year in the capital, Riyadh, received hundreds of production falcons.

He added: “The participating farms have enhanced their offerings with more elite falcons, rare breeds, beauty falcons, and other breeds that have won the Al-Malwah competitions, as a result of the great demand from falconers.”

Al-Tawil explained that the 2024 International Falcon Production Farms Auction witnessed the sale of the most expensive falcon this year, for 400 thousand riyals ($106.7 thousand), of the Triangle Gir chick (Ultra White) type, coming from the American Pacific Northwest Falcons farm.

The Saudi Falcons Club is responsible for encouraging production by allocating large prizes for the falcons auctioned at the King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival, which will start on November 28 with the participation of local and international falconers.

This was accompanied by a significant growth in the participation of local production farms, which learned about the best production practices in the auction, and exchanged experiences and knowledge with the leading production farms participating in the auction.

The auction is an international platform where falconers and falcon producers meet annually, through which buying and selling deals are concluded subject to protocols set by the Saudi Falcon Club.

The auction contributed to achieving the vision of the Saudi Falcons Club, which is to lead in the field of development and innovation in the hobby of falconry, its breeding, production and care, and to provide elite breeds for falconers, amateurs and those interested.
