Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Activists on social media circulated videos of a “cheating” process with the weight of rice bags, which sparked an interaction.

In the circulating video, a person appears to put a bag of rice on which it says that it weighs 5 kilograms, but when he puts it on the scale, the counter reads a weight that slightly exceeds the weight of 4 kilograms.
The Saudi Ministry of Commerce, through Abdul Rahman Al-Hussein, its spokesman, republished the video clip on the official spokesperson’s page on the social networking site, pointing out that the clip is old and incorrect.
Commenting on the video, the spokesman said: “A clip was circulated alleging cheating and manipulation of the weights of rice bags… To clarify, this clip is old, and the ministry had previously clarified at the time that what was stated in this video was incorrect.”
