Saudi Arabia announced to promote nuclear program

Saudi Arabia has announced that it is promoting its civilian nuclear program and prefers to include the US as one of the bidders for the program.

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan expressed these views in a joint press conference with his American counterpart, Antony Blanken.

“Some other countries are bidding and obviously, we want to develop our program with the best technology in the world and that will require a special agreement,” he said.

Prince Faisal bin Farhan says that we have differences with the US on some issues, are working to find a mechanism through which civilians can work together on nuclear technology, we intend to move forward on this program. are

It should be noted that Saudi Arabia has requested American technology to enrich its uranium and then sell the fuel. Saudi officials say that otherwise they may look to China, Russia or France for help.

Earlier, a US State Department spokesman said the Biden administration was committed to supporting Saudi Arabia’s clean energy transition, including efforts to develop a peaceful nuclear energy program, but he had criticized Saudi Arabia’s uranium enrichment plans. No indication of approval.
