Saudi Arabia.. A video of Prince Bandar bin Sultan circulated after the position of the Palestinian Federation with the “Asia 2027” vote

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Activists circulated on social media a video clip of a statement by Prince Bandar bin Sultan, the former ambassador of the Kingdom to America, in the wake of the uproar caused by the failure of the Palestinian Federation to vote for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to host the 2027 Asian Cup.

Prince Bandar bin Sultan says in the circulating video: “70% of my time as ambassador to America was to serve Palestine and the Palestinian cause.”

And the President of the Palestinian Football Association, Jibril Rajoub, had commented in a video clip with the Saudi newspaper, Al-Riyadiah, saying: “It is clear that there was a technical defect that occurred from our delegates during the voting process. I personally left following electing the representatives of West Asia in the Executive Office and for urgent health reasons.” And I went to the Secretary General of the Saudi Federation and apologized because I would leave, and he told me: There will be no vote, and on this basis I left.

Rajoub concluded by saying, “It is clear that our representative made a mistake, and I think it is the first time that he participates in this conference,” he said.

It is noteworthy that Saudi Arabia won the right to host the 2027 Asian Cup for the first time in its history, following the withdrawal of all its competitors, the last of which was the Indian Football Association.
