Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Activists on social media circulated photos and videos of an object passing by a bright light in the sky that was seen from several regions in the Kingdom.
The Saudi astronomer, an Indian inspiration, republished photos and videos on his official Twitter page, in which he said: “The most visible clip, which is circulating on the Hail meteorite, was filmed from Qassim to the west.”
In a separate tweet, an Indian posted pictures with a comment in which he said: “A meteor was seen penetrating the atmosphere in the sky of Saudi Arabia. We wish to see it from Hail and Al-Qassim, and we may receive testimonies from other regions. The meteor lit up the regions with a green light and left a trace of its smoke in its path in the sky.”
He added: “Analysis of photos and videos suggests that it is a medium-sized meteorite that burned in the atmosphere, a hail meteorite.”
The Saudi journalist, Anwar bin Muhammad al-Muhaisen, commented on an Indian tweet, publishing a video, with a comment in which he said: “Is this a meteor as an astronomer?”, to an Indian response saying: “Yes. different from meteors.
