Saudi Airlines Announce That They Are Affected by the Technical Glitch Witnessed by the World

“Nas Air” stated in a statement on the “X” platform: “Nas Air” notes that its operations have been affected by the technical failure that several airlines around the world are experiencing in one of the technical systems, which has led to the delay of the take-off of some flights in addition to the slowness of services on the website and mobile application.”

For its part, Adel Airlines said that its flight operations were “affected by the slowness of reservation services and the completion of travel procedures due to the technical failure experienced by several airlines around the world due to a failure in one of the technical systems.”

Meanwhile, King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh reported: “There is a global failure in the operating systems of a number of air carriers,” noting that “its impact extended to a number of air carriers at the airport.”

The statement stressed that “the business continuity plan has been activated to use alternative systems in cooperation with air carriers,” adding: “We emphasize the importance of communicating with the air carrier before heading to the airport to confirm the flight status.”

The world woke up on Friday to a technical glitch that paralyzed markets, airports and services around the world. Microsoft users reported widespread internet outages, hours following the tech company announced it was gradually working to fix a problem affecting access to Microsoft 365 applications and services.

The Microsoft outage is linked to a new update from CrowdStrike, a cybersecurity software company. This has caused disruptions across a range of sectors, with stock exchanges, airlines and banks the hardest hit.
