Saud bin Saqr: The aviation sector is a major supporter of economic growth

Ras Al Khaimah (WAM) His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, stressed the importance of the aviation sector as a fundamental pillar for achieving sustainable future development, and a major supporter of economic and tourism growth and the various vital sectors in Ras Al Khaimah and the UAE.

This came during His Highness’ attendance today, as part of the activities of the ninth edition of the “Arab Aviation Summit 2022”, held at the “Al Hamra International Exhibition and Convention Center” in Ras Al Khaimah, under the slogan “the sector’s path to recovery”.

His Highness praised the prominent role of the summit in providing a platform that brings together a group of the most prominent experts and partners in the aviation sector at the level of the Emirates, the region and the world, to discuss the journey of recovery from the repercussions of the “Covid 19” pandemic, and work to develop optimal plans to meet urgent challenges and achieve growth in the future. His Highness the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah said: “Hosting the event for the second year in a row is a clear evidence of our ambitions to develop the aviation and tourism sectors in the emirate, and an affirmation of the UAE’s position and global leadership in these two fields, and proof of the qualitative addition that Ras Al Khaimah provides in the two vital sectors.” It is worth noting that the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority is hosting the ninth edition of the summit, with the support of global sector partners, such as Airbus, CFM, Air Arabia, Alpha Flight Academy and others. The Arab Aviation Summit, which concludes on March 2, aims to shed light on the trends, visions and opportunities that push the wheel of continuous growth and development in the aviation and tourism sectors in Arab countries. It is an important platform for discussing the most important and latest issues in the sector, and an ideal forum for the most prominent global experts in the two sectors.
