Satechi launches hub designed for MacBook Air M2

Well known for the various accessories it manufactures for devices such as iPads and Macs, Satechi is launching yet another product in the hub category, this time to expand the capabilities of the MacBook Air with the chip M2.

It’s regarding the Pro Hub Sliman accessory whose objective is to increase the number of ports on the laptop from Apple — which only provides two USB-C ports and a MagSafe charging port natively.

With the hub, users will have access to no less than seven ports on the MacBook: one USB4, one HDMI, two USB-A, slots for SD and microSD cards, and a USB-C port.

The USB4 port supports transfer speeds of up to 40Gbps, while the USB-A ports transfer data at up to 10Gbps and the slots for SD and microSD cards support data transfer up to 104MB/s.

Speaking of resolution, the HDMI port supports dual display at 4K at up to 60Hz, while the USB4 port can transmit at 6K at 60Hz — and this one can also recharge the device with up to 100W of power.

Specially designed for the latest MacBook Air model released, the hub is available in midnight, space gray e talk — which will make your work environment visually uniform.

But don’t think that you can only use it if you have the newest generation of Apple’s entry-level MacBook, as it is compatible with any model released from 2017 onwards — including MacBooks Pro.

The Pro Hub Slim is being sold on the Satechi website for US$80.
