Post-“Dream Ship” Pursuits

Thespian Sascha Hehn embarks on a new professional chapter in 2022.

Following his “dream ship” role, Sascha Hehn embraced life’s finer moments. He’ll grace the stage in 2022 as the “Oil Prince”.

Eight years ago, on New Year’s Day, Sascha Hehn (67) debuted as Captain Victor Burger on the “dream ship.” Four years later, on New Year’s Eve 2019, his final episode aired. What has the beloved Munich performer been up to since? His Instagram account, launched in summer 2019, reveals a life rich in delightful experiences.

A Deep Love for Golf

This multi-talented actor enjoys fishing, riding motorcycles, and skiing. Yet, his true passion appears to be golf. He’s been pictured swinging his club, as seen in his October 2021 post showcasing a “Final tournament” in Ellmau. He’s also participated in charity events, such as the “Wings for Life” event at Wörthersee. The outcome? A gratifying “25,000 euros for a worthy cause,” he proudly shared in August 2021. The keen golfer also shares golfing tips, such as retrieving a golf ball from a snowy landscape, as shown in a previous post.

Beyond sports and social gatherings, Sascha Hehn frequently shares moments with his partner Gloria. For her birthday in mid-December 2021, he expressed his affection: “Today is my sweetheart’s birthday… she is simply my most precious possession.”

“The Oil Prince” Arrives

Sascha Hehn returns to the stage this year. A project announced in the spring of 2020 will finally debut in the summer of 2022. He’ll take on the leading role in “The Oil Prince” at the Karl May Games. The premiere is set for June 25, 2022, at 8:30 PM, according to the official website. See the announcement here.

The production, featuring Alexander Klaws (38) as Winnetou, Sascha Hehn as Oil Prince Grinley, and Katy Karrenbauer (58) as Treckführer Rosalie Ebersbach, will run until September 4, 2022. Shows are scheduled for Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 3 PM and 8 PM, and Sundays at 3 PM.

Ute Thienel, Managing Director of the Karl May Games, expressed the organization’s excitement about the return of the event after a two-year hiatus. She highlighted the outdoor setting and the favorable conditions for a safe and enjoyable theatrical experience. Advance ticket sales are to commence in the spring.

“Das Traumschiff” Sets Sail Again in 2022

“Das Traumschiff” returns on New Year’s Day at 8:15 PM on ZDF. Florian Silbereisen (40) takes the helm, replacing Sascha Hehn. He and the crew will celebrate the new year in Namibia.
