It once flew to Bangkok, Colombo, Delhi, Hong Kong, Osaka, Beijing, Singapore, Shanghai and Tokyo. The Asia network had shrunk in recent years to a trickle for SAS Scandinavian Airlines.

The company found itself faced with financial difficulties, Covid and the closing of borders in Asia. For several months, however, the Scandinavian carrier is gradually returning to this continent which was one of the flagships of its network.

SAS has thus resumed its flights on Shanghai Pudong and Tokyo Haneda. It will serve these two destinations this winter at a rate of three weekly flights each departing from Copenhagen.

The great novelty, however, is its return to the very popular destination that is Bangkok. SAS Scandinavian Airlines will open the route on October 30. It will only operate during the entire winter season until the end of March.

Flights will leave Copenhagen on Monday, Wednesday and Friday with a departure at 11:30 p.m. and an arrival at 5:10 p.m. in Bangkok. Return flights will depart Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 11:45 p.m. to land in Denmark at 6:35 a.m., facilitating connections. The flights will be carried out in Airbus A350 with a business class, SAS Plus and SAS Go.
