Thiruvananthapuram – The crime branch has started collecting the phone records of the driver Vinu Kumar in the case of trying to kill the solar case accused Saritha S. Nair by adding chemicals to her food several times. A notice was issued to Vinu Kumar to appear for questioning. Saritha’s complaint is that Vinu Kumar conspired with the accused in the molestation case filed by Saritha and mixed chemicals in her food. The investigation team hopes that this will be clarified following examining the phone records.

The crime branch registered the FIR following the initial investigation found that there was no substance in Saritha’s complaint. Vinu Kumar’s house was searched but no information was found to help the investigation. Saritha says that following consuming the chemical, she developed serious physical problems and lost her left eye vision. There was also a lack of influence in the left leg. Saritha says that the information came out when she sought treatment following contracting the disease. High levels of arsenic, mercury and lead were found in the blood.

In the FIR, it is stated that Vinu Kumar conspired with the accused in the harassment complaint filed by Saritha with the intention of killing the complainant through fraud and making financial profit. Saritha says that the assassination attempt started from 2018. When he faced physical difficulties, he suspected the presence of a poisonous substance but did not file a complaint as he might not identify who it was. It was also stated in the complaint that on January 3, 2022, during the journey, it was understood that Vinu Kumar had mixed the chemical at a juice shop in Karamana.
