Sara Müldner began her adventure with acting in 1999. During this time, she appeared in several popular series, including “Three Crazy Zeros” and “For Good and for Bad”. The latter brought her great sympathy from TV viewers and undoubtedly made her gain nationwide recognition.
The actress played the role of Julka Burska, daughter of Zosia and Jakub Burski, in the soap opera. However, unexpectedly, in 2007 she decided to end her adventure with production. Müldner, then 18, decided to focus on education.
“Everything changed when I passed my high school final exams and I resigned from the series ‘Na dobre i na evil’. I went to Paris, to an acting school, where I got first place. When I finished school, I returned to Poland and had to face the ‘new normality’ (…). I could only count on uninteresting roles in TV series that didn’t interest me much. It turned out that over the course of a few years the market had changed and talent and achievements were less and less important acting, their place was taken by the ability to promote themselves,” she said in an interview with NaTemat.

Well, ladies and gentlemen, gather ’round! If you had any doubts about the rollercoaster ride that is a career in acting, let me introduce you to the talented Sara Müldner. She burst onto our screens in 1999—not through some magical portal, but rather through various popular series, including the absolute riot “Three Crazy Zeros.” The sheer charm of her role as Julka Burska in “For Good and for Bad” sent viewers into a tizzy! Seriously, it was like everyone in Poland suddenly had new wallpaper featuring her.
But hold onto your hats because in 2007, at the tender age of 18, she threw a curveball! Just when you think you’ve got your favorite character locked in for life, Sara decides to drop the soap opera gig and focus on education. Yes, she thought to herself: “Forget fame, let’s hit the books instead!” Imagine that! A teenager deciding to step off the shiny TV set to go learn something—what a concept!
Now, in her own words, “Everything changed when I passed my high school final exams.” That’s right! An academic achievement was more important than staying in the spotlight. I can hear the producers crying now, “Not our Julka!” So, she heads off to Paris, because if you’re going to study acting, why not choose the most romantic city in the world? And what does she do? She becomes the top student! Somewhere, there’s a French acting coach high-fiving the universe.
So there she is, fresh off the plane and—spoiler alert—things are not as rosy as she hoped. Suddenly, she finds herself in a landscape where the only thing hotter than the latest roles seems to be one’s self-promotion skills. Yes, apparently talent and achievement took a backseat to sort of a social media popularity contest—who would have guessed? It’s like Instagrammers are now auditioning for roles in drama instead of just laughing at cat videos.
And just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, we find her flitting between a handful of film gigs. We’re talking “Barefoot” and “I Like to Talk to You” in 2012. Truly a smorgasbord of titles that scream, “I took a break and now I have lost my way!” But wait—she employs a manager! That’s the equivalent of hiring a personal trainer when you’re really just trying to decide whether or not you’ll fit into last year’s clothes!
Still not feeling the groove, she pops into the beloved television game show “Jaka to melodia?” Now, let’s pause and admire this impressive feat: being recognized as a pop culture phenomenon one moment and then being quizzed about obscure melodies the next. Talk about a plot twist worthy of a soap opera!
Ah, but Sara, now 35, isn’t about to throw in the towel just yet. Instead of playing the waiting game for that elusive, life-changing role, she’s pivoted smoothly to screenwriting! I mean, if you can’t find the spotlight, why not become the one shining it? Will we ever see her back on screen acting? Who knows! Stranger things have happened.
So, here’s to Sara Müldner—a reminder that a career in acting is about as stable as trying to stand in a windstorm on a unicycle. You’ve got to appreciate the adventure, the unpredictability, and above all, the sheer audacity to choose your educational fate over fame! Let’s hope for a grand return—perhaps the script she writes somehow leads back to our screens. If that does happen, I expect a front-row seat, possibly with popcorn. After all, we don’t just want to watch “For Better and For Worse”; we want “For Even Better and Oh-So-Fabulous!” Cheers, Sara!
Thought? This is the cruel reality of the acting world where being seen is sometimes more important than the actual craft.
After returning to Poland, Sara Müldner attempted to reclaim her place in the industry. She starred in films like “Barefoot” and even made Alex Reed appearances on shows like “Jaka to melodia?”. Despite her efforts, she struggled to recapture the success of her earlier years. Now 35, she has shifted her focus toward writing screenplays, showing that while she may not be acting in front of the camera, her passion for storytelling still runs deep.
The question remains: Will we ever see Sara back on the silver screen? Her potential return hints at both a desire to reconnect with her roots in acting and the challenges that come with reclaiming a once-thriving career. With her creative talents at play, it’s possible that the actress has only just begun to explore the myriad ways she can contribute to the industry—whether in front of or behind the camera.
As Sara navigates her path, one thing is clear: the journey of an actress can be as unpredictable as it is thrilling. Fans can only hope to see more of her in the future, as she continues to evolve in her artistic endeavors.
