At the Toronto site, the SAP and Quality Business System Owner (BSO) will spearhead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at ensuring the stability and efficiency of our operational business processes. This role entails the implementation of corrective and preventative measures, responding to incidents or changes that arise within S/4HANA (SAP), iRelease, Qualipso, and associated applications. This professional will take the lead as a driver for innovative digital projects impacting site operations. Furthermore, the site BSO will serve as a vital communications link for global digital initiatives affecting the site, ensuring seamless information flow and change management. Additionally, this role will oversee critical site defects, manage relevant resources, and keep stakeholders informed about system enhancement timelines.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Act as site Business System Owner (BSO) for SAP and quality systems, ensuring that compliance with business, quality, and process standards within SAP is consistently achieved.

  • Cascade global digital changes to the iShift Key User Community associated with iShift and quality systems.

  • Conduct User Acceptance Tests and regression tests for new releases, while updating critical master data and training/SOP documentation as necessary.

  • Thoroughly understand the scope of digital projects and develop a comprehensive plan for successful site execution through regular feedback from site and functional teams.

  • Facilitate progress by removing obstacles and ensuring alignment among site and global stakeholders.

  • Lead cross-functional project teams comprising both global and local team members to effectively resolve P1 and P2 incidents.

  • Prepare progress schedules and project reports for management and internal teams.

  • Act as an information conduit, ensuring that all parties are updated and aligned.

  • Proactively communicate and escalate potential project issues and risks in a timely manner.

  • Plan, organize, and evaluate projects from inception to completion, adhering to established schedules and resource allocations.

  • Build and nurture an effective project team capable of addressing gaps, while fostering communication and alignment with functional groups.

  • Provide strategic input to the organization, ensuring that the requirements for new enhancements within iShift and quality systems are adequately incorporated.

  • Participate actively as a member of the executive digital team to shape and strategize the site manufacturing 4.0 roadmap.

  • Serve as a motivated leader, offering coaching, training, and development opportunities necessary for enhancing the skills and expertise of direct reports.

Experience

  • Have prior experience with Lean & Six Sigma methodologies and tools as a valuable asset.

  • Possess working knowledge of digital factory tools, technologies, and data analytics.

  • Prior project management experience is highly advantageous.

  • Demonstrate the ability to balance competing priorities and resource allocation effectively.

  • Possess a thorough understanding of quality practices and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

  • Exhibit strong problem-solving and decision-making skills focused on customer needs while maintaining high-quality standards.
