Berlin The software giant SAP has exceeded its profit forecast, which it raised several times last year. The currency-adjusted operating profit rose by one percent to 8.41 billion euros, announced the Walldorf Dax group on Thursday evening.
Most recently, SAP had raised the range in October to 8.1 to 8.3 billion euros. The globally active group is making faster progress than expected in converting to a pure cloud provider. In 2021, cloud revenues increased by 19 percent following adjusting for currency effects to 9.59 billion euros and were thus at the upper end of the forecast.
In the current fiscal year, SAP intends to further accelerate its cloud growth and, adjusted for currency effects, increase cloud sales to 11.55 to 11.85 billion euros. When it comes to currency-adjusted operating earnings, SAP still leaves a wide margin and aims to achieve between 7.8 and 8.25 billion euros in the end.
