The Democratic Republic of Sao Tome and Príncipe reaffirmed, Wednesday in Rabat, its support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Morocco.
“I want to reaffirm Sao Tome and Príncipe’s support for the territorial integrity of the Kingdom as I have expressed it on several occasions”underlined the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Communities of Sao Tome and Príncipe, Ms. Edite Dos Ramos Ten Jua, in a statement to the press at the end of her talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, of African Cooperation and Moroccans residing abroad, Mr. Nasser Bourita, on the sidelines of the work of the 1st ministerial meeting of Atlantic African States.
She also reiterated her country’s support for the Moroccan autonomy plan as the only realistic solution to resolve the artificial conflict around the Moroccan Sahara, as well as for the efforts aimed at achieving a lasting solution to this conflict within the framework of Moroccan sovereignty and under the exclusive auspices of the United Nations.
The Minister also indicated that her talks with Mr. Bourita were an opportunity to examine the means of further consolidating bilateral cooperation. (With MAP)
