And darkness prevailed in “Villa Belmero” except for the screen, in the middle of which appeared a crown and the full name “Pele”, Edison Arantes Nascimento, on one side, and the shield of Santos club on the other side.
Pele began his sports career in Santos in 1956, played 1116 matches for the club, scored 1091 goals, and left Santos in 1974 to join the American New York Cosmos, who retired from his ranks following 3 years.
