Mumbai: BCCI has announced the team for the Twenty20 series once morest West Indies. The BCCI team was announced by Twitter. Superstars Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are not in the team. Malayali player Sanju Samson also got a place in the team as a wicket keeper. This is also the first Indian squad to be announced following former India player Ajit Agarkar took charge as the BCCI Chief Selector.
Hardik Pandya is leading the Indian team in the five-match series. Suryakumar Yadav will be the vice-captain in the series. Youngsters Yashaswi Jaiswal and Thilak Verma have won a place in the team. Both are being selected for the Indian T20 team for the first time. At the same time Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were rested.
The Twenty20 series will begin on August 3. The five-match series will conclude on August 13.
