Wellington: Suryakumar Yadav is a trusted player in Indian cricket. Keeping him out of fixed-over cricket is unthinkable. Suryakumar also scored a maiden century in the recent T20 series against England. Cricket pundits call Suriya as India’s Mr. 360. Now the former New Zealand player and now commentator Scott Styris has come out praising the star.

Styris says I am a fan of Surya. “One thing I am sure of, there are few people in the world who worship Surya better than me.” If he is not in the team, the opposition will do a happy dance. Suryakumar is an undisputed pick for India’s fixed-over cricket team. Everyone will agree on this. Suryakumar has the strength to win matches. Such stars are needed,” Styris said.

Styris also suggested that Surya should be played at number four. India currently has Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli in the top three positions. Surya should play fourth. But there is a possibility of facing a tough challenge from Shreyas Iyer and Sanju Samson,” said Styris.

Suryakumar could not score big in the ODI series against England. But Suriya is in the ODI-T20 series starting against West Indies. Fans are hoping that England’s fatigue will end in West Indies. The player played a major role in the success of Mumbai Indians in the IPL.

The ODI series against West Indies starts tomorrow. The second and third (24 and 27) ODIs will be held at the same venue. After that, the two will face each other in five T20 matches.
