The Minister of Cities, Jader Barbalho Filho, will give the Key Lecture of the second day of programming of the 32nd Brazilian Congress of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering (CBESA) – the ABES Congress, on Tuesday, May 23rd. The guest will address the theme “The paths of universalization of sanitation services”, from 9:15 to 10:15.
Another outstanding panel is the opening one, on Monday, 22nd, at 10:30 am, in the plenary, which will be attended by the National Secretary of Sanitation, Leonardo Picciani. The moderator will be Alceu Guérios Bittencourt, National President of ABES. On the occasion, experts will bring challenges and solutions related to Sanitation in Brazil.
In addition to the secretary, Natália Resende, Secretary for the Environment, Infrastructure and Logistics of the State of São Paulo; Marília Mello, Secretary of Environment and Sustainable Development of the State of Minas Gerais; and Carlos Augusto Chernicharo, managing partner of the Reference Center for Sustainable ETEs and Chernicharo & Bressani Sanitation Consulting and Training.
The Congress, organized by the Brazilian Association of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering – ABES, will take place in person at Expominas, in Belo Horizonte, from May 21st to 24th, with more than 50 panels and distinguished specialists, who will address the main solutions and the sector’s challenges from different perspectives.
