Sane replacement? Christopher Nkunku is open to a Bayern move

Even if Bayern have almost completed their transfer plans for this summer, Christopher Nkunku remains a potential transfer candidate with the German record champions – especially for 2023. Both the French and the Munich are quite open to a change in the future. Until then, however, FCB must make room in its squad.

As the “BILD” reported this week, the Bayern bosses still have the 24-year-old offensive player on their radar.

After “SPORT1” information Nkunku would like to take the next step in his career in the summer of 2023 and switch to a top European club, FC Bayern also falls into this category for the French.

However, whether there will actually be a change depends largely on whether Bayern have a need on the offensive.

Nkunku might replace Leroy Sane at Bayern Munich

After the departure of Robert Lewandowski, Bayern didn’t reorganize their offensive, but also set it up for the long term.

Two new strikers have been signed in Sadio Mané and Mathys Tel. In addition, Kingsley Coman, Thomas Müller and Serge Gnabry all renewed their contracts this year. Exceptional talent Jamal Musiala is not for sale. As of today, Bayern simply have no place for Nkunku.

Only one player is under observation in Munich: Leroy Sane. The 26-year-old has recently been repeatedly associated with a premature departure from the Isar. However, those responsible at FC Bayern rule out a transfer this summer. If the German national player fails to live up to expectations once more in his third year at FCB, the Isar will be a concern. In this scenario, Christopher Nkunku might switch to the German record champions as a Sane replacement.

According to reports, Nkunku can always leave RB Leipzig in the summer of 2023 if the Saxons receive an offer of 60-70 million euros. Even if the French international only recently extended his contract with RB until 2026, nobody expects Nkunku to actually stay in Leipzig that long.

In addition to Bayern, there are numerous other top clubs that deal with the winger. Above all, his youth club Paris Saint-Germain is said to be very interested.
