Sandrine Rousseau came to support the demonstration that took place in support of Iranian women in Paris, but things did not go as planned. Indeed, the member was booed from all sides by the women present. “Get out!”, “Out collaborators!” are insults chanted by the crowd present on the spot. On the platform, the green member was also entitled to whistles.
But why were the protesters so harsh on the Parisian MP? In question, his intransigent positions in the face of the “communitarian” visions of the Islamists. Sandrine Rousseau confided in our colleagues from Parisian: “I am extremely intransigent on Islamism here in France and I have no problem saying so.” Before continuing: “What I stand for is the freedom of women everywhere” she concluded.
The demonstration was punctuated by a string of slogans: “Join the first feminist revolution!” or “Masha Amini, your name made the tyranny of the ayatollahs tremble”, “Death to the Islamic Republic“, “Death to the Dictator” et “Women. Life. Freedom”.
As a reminder, these events occur following the death of young Masha Amini occurred in Iran a few weeks ago now. There are currently at least 92 people killed in Iran by the repression of demonstrations.
