Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani stressed that “sanctions are the main component of American human rights.”
In response to the US administration’s imposition of the ban on seven Iranian officials, Kanaani wrote on his Instagram account, “Every day a new list of banned Iranian persons and entities is published under flimsy pretexts, and this time the US government imposed a new ban on Interior Minister Ahmed Vahidi, and Iranian Minister of Communications and Information Technology Issa. Zare’pour and five other officials,” he continued, “before Washington imposed the ban on this list of seven Iranian ministers and personalities, the Iranian people were subjected hundreds of times to the most horrific, unparalleled sanctions by the American regime. The long-term unjust US embargo that targets their livelihood, work, health and life.”
He stressed that “this illegal and unjust ban does not exclude anyone, even children who suffer from butterfly disease.”
