San Pedro Sula after Bad Bunny, ready for mega-concerts?

A total success was the concert of the Puerto Rican Bad Bunny in the Metropolitan Olympic Stadium of San Pedro Sula, which was attended by more than 50,000 people.

One of the highlights is the capacity of the industrial city to receive such a great spectacle like that with all that it entails.

San Pedro Sula last night became a meeting point for thousands of people who came from different parts of the national territory.

Reservations for November 29 were sold out in the city and, according to Donaldo SuazoCanaturh prosecutor, vice president of the cooperative of tourism entrepreneurs and manager of the Casa del Árbol hotel, the profits for the industry were L 6 million.

Similarly, approximately another 2 million were captured by restaurants and the tourism industry.

It also highlights that the city received three major concerts in just one month: that of Daddy Yankee (November 9), Ricardo Arjona (November 15) and Bad Bunny (November 29th), which shows how attractive San Pedro Sula is for artists and fans.

The good behavior of the people who attended the concert was also a point in favor, since there were no disturbances and the people of Sampedranos set an example of how to enjoy urban music in a healthy way.

In addition to that, in the Olympic there were dozens of Municipal Police to provide security in the event of a conflict, but his intervention was not necessary even once.

The Mayor’s Office even made four drones available to monitor every corner of the Olímpico from the air.

At the end of the event, each person left the venue in an orderly manner and went to their homes. Despite the fact that the concert ended following 11:00 pm, there was no complaint of theft, robbery, assault or other unfortunate situation.

POINTS TO IMPROVE

On the other hand, there are some small aspects that San Pedro Sula might improve in future concerts, for example, the entrance of people to the venue, since for a few seconds there was a lack of control at one of the access gates.

In the same way, San Pedro Sula had vehicular traffic problems for several hours before the concert, as the main access street to the Olympic Stadium was closed and alternate routes collapsed.
