“San Francisco Shooting: Arrest Made in Fatal Incident in North Beach Neighborhood”

Police arrested a man suspected of being involved in a shooting that left one dead and four people injured, including him, on Sunday in San Francisco.

The shooting occurred around 10:58 p.m. in the area of ​​Grant Avenue and Columbus Avenue in the North Beach neighborhood.

The suspect identified as Malachi Lefiti was allegedly with 23-year-old Isaiah Thomas and other suspects attempting to rob people.

During the attempted robbery, an altercation led to the shooting in which Lefiti, two other men and a woman were shot. Thomas, who was also injured, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Lefiti was arrested a day following the shooting and taken to the San Francisco County Jail where he faces charges of murder, three counts of attempted murder, attempted robbery, conspiracy, and possession of a weapon.

Investigators believe this is an isolated incident and do not believe this shooting was random.
