San Antonio gives up a draw against Independiente – Los Tiempos

San Antonio was unable to hold on in the final minutes and was unable to seal the victory it had as a visitor against Independiente and ended up tying 3-3 in the match played yesterday at the Patria stadium in Sucre.

The match valid for the 13th round was full of emotions for the team from the tropics. In the 5th minute Daniel Passira scored the opening goal with a penalty kick.

Independiente had a hard time reacting, only doing so in the 40th minute with a goal by Diego Vargas who took advantage of a mix-up in the visiting defense.

The visitor’s response was immediate, as seven minutes later, Huberth Sánchez appeared to deflect a ball and put Santo in the lead again.

With the result in favor of the visitors, both teams went to the break.

In the 12th minute, Sánchez increased the score for the Cochabamba team.

It seemed difficult for the locals to get a draw because they were losing by two goals at that moment, however, the Matador once again showed the grit that is attributed to him, even more so in these cases.

In the 33rd minute, hope opened up for the home team, Juan Godoy scored a goal that left the defensive line in a bad position.

This action was key for the home team, who did everything they could to get the equaliser, given the calm with which the team managed by Thiago Leitao took the result.

That is why the reward for the effort came in the last minute of stoppage time.

Matías Romero connected with a cross in the penalty area and beat the Cochabamba goalkeeper who was stunned by the play. Despite the action being reviewed by the VAR, the goal was validated.
