Samyang Foods announced on the 14th that its interns participated in a volunteer activity to make Braille tactile books for visually impaired children.

In this volunteer activity, all 28 people who were selected as recruitment-linked interns in the first half of 2022 participated and made one Braille tactile book per person.

The Braille tactile book is a teaching aid for visually impaired children that uses materials such as beads and buttons on fabric to express numbers and words in three dimensions.

The completed Braille tactile book will be delivered to schools for the blind and welfare centers for the disabled to be used as educational materials for visually impaired children.

An official from Samyang Food said, “This volunteer activity was planned to increase understanding of ESG management and to provide an opportunity to directly participate in related activities. It also added the meaning of environmental protection.”

Meanwhile, Samyang Foods is steadily expanding the activities for its employees to participate in ESG management. Since last year, we have signed a business agreement with Chiaksan National Park to promote biodiversity and are regularly participating in the ‘Samyang Environmental Protection Supporters’ activities.

In April, we held a walk donation campaign ‘Walk Together’, which donates products as much as we walked, and in June held an in-house video contest under the theme of ESG management.
