« The Last Days of Ptolemy Gray ”, limited series which arrives on Apple TV+, retraces the journey of Ptolemy to regain his memory while suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. Rightly embodied by Samuel L. Jackson, the nonagenarian receives help from a young orphan, played by Dominique Fishback. The duo, in search of a cure, will quickly discover many truths whether they are past, present or future.
The series is the adaptation of the book of the same name, written by the director, Walter Moseley. Cut into six episodes, the first two are already available on the streaming platform. The others will be broadcast at the rate of one episode per week.
It was actor Samuel L. Jackson who persuaded Walter Moseley to adapt his novel for television. Fan of the book, the actor would have recognized himself in Ptolemy and in his search for the truth.
