Samuel L. Jackson announces: Marvel character Nick Fury will soon return to the cinema screens several times

While Marvel fans eagerly await the start of the series “Secret Invasion”, leading actor Samuel L. Jackson is regarding to announce the next MCU appearance of Marvel character Nick Fury. The 73-year-old actor will reprise his role as the former director of SHIELD in the upcoming Disney Plus series. Nick Fury: In these productions he returns to the big screen

In an interview on the Josh Horowitz podcast Happy Sad Confused, actor Samuel L. Jackson announced that he also visited the sets of two other Marvel productions while filming in London for the upcoming Disney Plus series “Secret Invasion”. In addition to the Marvel series, he will soon be one of the most popular Marvel characters Nick Fury in “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” and also in “The Marvels” Pop up.

With the announcement of his double cast as Nick Fury, Jackson only surprised to a limited extent: The information that he will return for the role in “The Marvels” was announced by the actor in an Instagram post in August 2021. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is currently in post-production. In addition to Samuel L. Jackson, the cast also includes Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer and Kathryn Newton, as well as Jonathan Majors as the film’s main antagonist. Marvel legend comes in a pack of three

As the actor recounts, while filming Secret Invasion in London, he was involved in two other shoots – Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and The Marvels. “So it was three Marvel movies in one heap. I kind of ran from one place to another.”

As exhausting as the filming for Samuel L. Jackson must have been, fans can hardly wait for the new projects – following all, Nick Fury was last seen in 2019 in “Spider Man: Far From Home”. Back then, a post-credits scene revealed that Fury isn’t on Earth and Skrull Talos (Ben Mendelsohn) is replacing him on our planet. The 73-year-old actor also joked regarding how many more appearances he still has in the Marvel Cinematic Universe: “Well, it’s kinda weird when someone tells you they’re giving you a nine-movie deal, it makes you wonder : ‘How long will I live to make nine films?’ Because it used to take a while to make a film. It’s still like that, but people do two or three films at a time. In the Marvel Universe… this is crazy.”

Theatrical release: Soon we can experience Nick Fury once more

Samuel L. Jackson fans who don’t want to miss Nick Fury in The Marvels and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania: The former is slated to hit theaters on February 17, 2023, while Ant -Man 3” debuted on July 28, 2023. It has not yet been announced when the Marvel series “Secret Invasion” will be available to stream on Disney+.
