Samsung has decided to stop developing the mid-range Galaxy S22 FI, according to Korean media reports.
The company attributed this to problems in the growing supply chain in terms of chip shortages, and better-than-expected demand for its flagship Galaxy S22 Ultra.
Previous leaks made it clear that the Galaxy S22 FI looks less and less likely as there was no sign of the SM-S900 in Samsung’s production plans.
And if the company wants to launch such a device, it should already be in development with model numbers, software series, and everything.
According to tech experts, the reason for canceling the Galaxy S22 FI series is not due to the fact that the Galaxy S22 Ultra was launched later than usual and arrived in January of this year, but due to a lack of chips, according to industry insiders.
It is reported that Samsung achieved record sales of the Galaxy S22 Ultra, and since its flagship model uses the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor that was supposed to be in the Galaxy S22 FI, the lack of the coveted Qualcomm chipset has forced the company to cancel plans Galaxy S22 FI development.
