Samsung SDS launches Cello Square in Latin America

Samsung SDS recently announced the plan to implement the Cello Square tool across Latin America.

The intelligent platform seeks to digitize global logistics in collaboration with port, railway and customs operators and already has more than 10 thousand registered customers around the world.

Rosa Amador, commercial director at Samsung SDS, highlights that the company has already reached the mark of more than 500 registered customers in Latin America. Launched in 2021, the Cello Square digital logistics platform has been used on the global market in the company’s 36 branches.

“The solution offers optimization for freight forwarding processes, such as instant online freight quotes, booking, real-time cargo tracking, automated dashboards and reports, simplified invoices and personalized service”, explains Rosa Amador.

According to the commercial director of Samsung SDS, one of the differences of the new solution is integration with the shipowner network, which makes it possible to track all customer shipments, even when carried out by another cargo agent or shipowner. “The tool centralizes all operational processes in a single place, with real-time monitoring in just a few clicks.”

Rosa Amador draws attention to a study carried out by the North American consultancy Arthur D. Little, which identified a global trend of digitalizing freight negotiations and processes by around 46% by 2026.

“With this, Samsung SDS aims to promote logistics digitalization in Latin America by 2024, ensuring agility and optimization for our customers’ processes”, he states.

In the second half of last year, a brunch was held at the Samsung SDS HQ office in São Paulo for the launch of Cello Square. During the event, all the solutions that the platform offers were presented: instant quotes, online booking requests, real-time shipment tracking, optimized dashboards and reports on the entire operation.

“Our main objective is that, by 2025, we will be leaders in the digitalization industry in the supply chain with our technology solutions”, adds Rosa Amador.
