Samsung SDS, the IT (Information Technology) segment of the Samsung Group, was present between the 26th and 29th of September, in Fortaleza (CE), at Brazil’s municipal security and civil defense event, the National Citizen Security Forum and Civil defense.
During the event, which has several activities on the agenda such as lectures, technical debates, workshops, a business hub and cultural and project presentations, the company presented cutting-edge technology solutions in the space dedicated to the exhibition of devices and solutions for the segment .
According to the Head of Sales and Marketing at Samsung SDS, Felipe Guimarães, some technological solutions were presented during the event, such as Body Cam (Body Camera and Evidence Management), Face Recognition (Facial Recognition), Monitoring Center, Knox ( Mobile Security Platform), Health Monitoring and Robust Line of Devices.
Guimarães explains that the objective is to offer the public solutions that meet the needs of visitors, such as Body Cam technology and Evidence Management, a solution for the Security sector. “Samsung SDS understands the growing market demand for compliance solutions. In this way, our evidence management and field team management platform contributes – through a device with body camera functionality, audio recorder and personal locator – to security, tactical actions and data protection.”.
The solution integrates two technologies, Body Camera (Bodycam) which makes use of a robust cell phone with body camera functionality, audio recorder and personal locator, and an Evidence Management platform, a web administration system for managing field evidence .
The materials produced, such as videos, photos, audio recordings and supporting documents, are kept on a secure evidence management and field team management platform. As the expert explains, technology provides some tools for public safety. “The main impacts are the geolocation of the team using a digital fence, bilateral communication with field agents and all the functionalities available on a single smartphone or tablet.”
The Forum simultaneously encompasses the V National Meeting of Public Security and Area Managers, the National Meeting of Municipal Guards and Public Security Agents, the Integrated Citizen Security Seminar and the National Meeting of Municipal Civil Defense Secretaries and Directors.
The event is organized by the National Council of Municipal Security Secretaries and Managers (Consemes) and the National Forum of Civil Defense Secretaries and Managers (FNDC). A Fortaleza city hall reported that more than 200 cities are being represented at the national meeting.
