Samsung restricts a group of applications to save the life of the batteries of its devices

According to a report by Samsung, the company has restricted the performance of a large number of applications on some Galaxy smartphones, using the “GOS” service. Reports say that the company has restricted a large number of applications, up to 10,000, in order to save battery life, including Netflix, Tik Tok, and Microsoft Office applications.

The restriction was spotted on a large number of apps, by Korean users who posted a list of nearly 10,000 apps affected by Samsung’s new strategy. Since the issue was revealed, Korean Samsung forums have been filled with complaints from users regarding app restrictions.

Although many of the applications on some smartphones such as the Galaxy S1 Plus were without restriction, the company intends to implement its new procedures on the entire Galaxy S22 series of phones.

It was also found that a group of applications are now subject to the restriction policy imposed by Samsung, in the OnePlus device, in order to save battery life, according to the “In Gadget” website.
