Hi all ! Today, I’m going to tell you regarding a new feature that might revolutionize the world of smartphone gaming. Samsung might well partner with AMD and Qualcomm to equip its next phones with FidelityFX Super Resolution 2 (FSR) technology. For the uninitiated, it is a technology that improves graphics quality while you play games on your phone.
After Apple equipped its new iPhone 15 with solid gaming features, like hardware-accelerated ray tracing and upscaling, Samsung decided not to stay behind. According to leaker Tech Revue, future Samsung smartphones might support AMD’s FSR 2 as well as ray tracing. Quite a competition for Nvidia and its DLSS!
That’s not all, as the gaming performance of Samsung phones has already been improved with the Galaxy S23 series. The new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset for Galaxy delivers balanced performance without overheating. Now with the addition of features like FSR 2, mobile gamers are truly in for a treat.
That said, we don’t yet know exactly how FSR 2 will work on smartphones, and none of the companies involved have confirmed the information. But if this new thing is really regarding to arrive, perhaps we might see it as early as the next Galaxy S24 series, which should be launched next January.
The flagship series might include the Galaxy S24, S24 Plus and S24 Ultra, all powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC or the Exynos 2400. To be watched closely!
