Collaborative video project demonstrates the Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphone’s exceptional camera experience in any condition

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. has released the final full version of “Epic Worlds,” a unique cinematic project shot entirely on the Galaxy S23 Ultra, capturing the essence of several distinct film genres and redefining the possibilities of mobile content creation. Before being edited for this compilation release, “Epic Worlds” was developed almost entirely through open collaboration and demonstrates the power of collective collaboration.

At the center of this new narrative approach is a short film starring Emma Myers (known for her role in the Netflix series “Wednesday”). The film takes the viewer on a journey through several film genres, including noir, science fiction, western, fantasy and action thriller. Myers plays the protagonist, but the real hero of the project is the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s Nightography¹ feature. With an incredible ability to capture scenes in low-light conditions, Nightography delivers genuinely cinematic clarity and detail.

Furthermore, this central narrative inspired the creation of complementary content. Around the world, local Team Galaxy influencers filmed their own reactions to the scene. All of these diverse pieces, shot on the Galaxy S23 Ultra, were interwoven with the centerpiece to create the cohesive spectacle that is “Epic Worlds” in its entirety.

“I am very excited to have been invited by Samsung to be part of Team Galaxy. Using a smartphone to bring such an incredible short film to life was truly amazing – I loved the results and the entire process,” said Myers. “I have a great appreciation for unique projects, so working with Samsung represented an opportunity to further explore my creativity and encourage others to do the same by creating their own short films. I can’t wait for everyone to see the ‘Epic Worlds’ compilation – it’s a high-quality collaboration.”

“To be honest, it surprised me,” said Zee Ntuli, director of the play “Epic Worlds.” “I was very impressed with what this Galaxy device is capable of doing. What surprised me most was the smartphone’s performance in low-light conditions. Nightography is simply a remarkable feature.”

The project follows the success of other campaigns shot with Galaxy, in which Samsung teamed up with high-profile filmmakers to demonstrate the Galaxy’s potential in creating cinema-quality content. “Epic Worlds” extends this legacy with a bold statement that creating exceptional content goes beyond image power and quality – it also involves creativity, community and a collaborative spirit, all characteristics promoted by Galaxy.

“Epic Worlds” is an invitation for content creators to explore the potential of Galaxy and turn their most creative ideas into reality. With Galaxy, creating professional-quality content is within everyone’s reach, anywhere.

The result of the “Epic Worlds” compilation is now available and can be watched here. The central short film starring Emma Myers can be seen on YouTube.
