Samsung may return to launch smart watches with square design still this year. According to information released this week, the Korean company has been studying the return of the format as a way of responding to public feedback.
This is because currently all Galaxy Watches have a circular design and this ends up discouraging those users who are looking for a Korean solution that is more similar to the Apple Watch, for example.
According to sources who have access to Samsung’s plans, if it becomes reality, this square Galaxy Watch should be very similar to the Galaxy Gear, Gear 2 and Gear Live.
These models were launched in mid-2013 and many consumers don’t even remember their existence, but they serve as a reference for Samsung itself.
For now, it is not yet possible to know whether Samsung will make this change to the Galaxy Watch 7 line or whether it will launch a completely new family of watches with a square design.
