Samsung announced, this Monday (22), the launch of its new professional monitor in Brazil. The ViewFinity S9 arrives on the national market as an advanced screen option for consumers looking for high resolution and intelligent functions, in addition to the variety of tools and applications of the Tizen operating system.
The monitor has a 27-inch screen with IPS technology and 5K resolution (5,120 x 2,880 pixels) with a density of 218 PPI. The panel has a typical brightness of 600 nits and supports HDR content, in addition to being capable of displaying more than 1 billion colors, covering 99% of the DCI-P3 range with Delta E < 2.
Another highlight of the screen is the anti-reflective finish that reduces distractions caused by reflections without compromising the user experience. For professionals, the company mentions Smart Calibration, a feature that allows you to choose between the DCI and sRGB color ranges, in addition to customizing the color temperature, luminance and gamma through the SmartThings application.
Thanks to the SlimFit 4K camera, users can make high-resolution video calls. The screen is positioned on an “L” shaped support that allows the panel to be rotated 90º, so that it can be viewed in portrait orientation.
The ViewFinity S9 features Tizen, which gives professionals greater versatility outside of their working hours. The operating system offers integrated applications that are also available on Samsung Smart TVs, such as film and series streaming platforms and the Gaming Hub, a platform that brings together the user’s cloud gaming services.

In the connectivity department, the monitor has a Thunderbolt 4 port, which offers charging of up to 90 W and data transfer of up to 40 Gbps. There is also a DisplayPort and three downstream ports with USB-C standard.
Price and availability
The Samsung ViewFinity S9 is now available at the brand’s online store for R$9,999 in cash. It is also possible to divide the purchase into up to 12 installments, but the value of the monitor increases to R$10,525.26. The device can also be purchased at the company’s partner stores.
