Samsung debuts, this Sunday (12), a TV campaign recorded entirely with smartphones from the Galaxy S23 5G* line, showing the advanced video capabilities and all the potential of these devices for the industry.
The campaign consists of three films in all, and the first will be shown this Sunday night, during the break of the American football championship final, on closed channels. The film, developed in partnership with Leo Burnett Tailor Made, is a testament to the power and versatility of the Galaxy S23 Ultra 5G cameras, which, by making use of advanced image stabilization and professional-grade lenses, rival those of cameras and equipment traditional professionals.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra 5G, being a smartphone, allowed to complete the filming in smaller spaces, as well as to create high quality visuals and images through its ultra-wide camera, which would be more complex to achieve with a traditional structure. This opens up new horizons for creative filmmakers, who can now produce content without the need for bulky and expensive equipment.

The campaign was shot using the Galaxy S23 Ultra 5G’s powerful camera, which lets footage take on a cinematic look with 8K video upscaled at 30 frames per second and a wider angle. This advanced image processing not only delivers scenes with incredible colors, contrast and resolution, but also allows for greater creative freedom, since the number of pixels makes it possible to zoom in on the image easily, creating cutouts without losing quality and richness of detail. – a perfect boon for photographers and creators or just capturing life’s best moments.
O Nightography1 is also highlighted in the commercial. Samsung’s concept for photos and videos produced in a wide variety of light conditions – and which has been improved on in the S23 5G range – uses advanced algorithms to combine multiple photos into one vibrant, detailed image. Which, once more, gives even more freedom when it comes to creating content, be it video or photo.
The campaign
The first film will be shown this Sunday, February 12, from 8:30 pm, during the intervals of the transmission of the American football championship final. It will also be shown during the intervals of game transmissions of the biggest basketball leagues in the world, in addition to intervals of international football championships, on closed channels.
The piece features scenes recorded in POV, acronym for “point of view”, in Portuguese. This means that the images are captured from the point of view of the character, who interacts with an American football and a basketball in exciting shots full of action. The images highlight details of the Galaxy S23 5G line devices, such as the elegant design, its powerful cameras and the exclusive Snapdragon® 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy processor2.
For Alessandra Sadock, Creative Experience Director at Leo Burnett Tailor Made, the ability to record professional movies with a smartphone opens up countless creative possibilities. “In addition to being three films fully contextualized to the schedule, the most incredible thing regarding this campaign was the experience of shooting three big commercials for the first time, with a huge production structure, with the Samsung Galaxy S23 5G”, she says. “We took advantage of resources such as not needing to retreat for filming, for example. And the quality is impeccable, we were able to demonstrate in the production of the commercials what we conveyed in the campaign: the quality of the camera”, she explains.
