A Samsung launched this Thursday (9) the complete version of the production “Epic Worlds“. For those who don’t know, this is the name of the film project promoted by the company that was filmed entirely with the Galaxy S23 Ultra. The result is the result of development that included open collaboration.
The main highlight of this new feature is the star of the film’s narrative: the actress Emma Myersknown to many as Enid Sinclair in the series He beat me, from Netflix. Throughout the work, the viewer goes through several well-known cinema genres, such as science fiction, fantasy, action thriller, noir and western.
Myers even spoke about the experience:
I am very excited to have been invited by Samsung to be part of Team Galaxy. Using a smartphone to bring such an incredible short film to life was truly amazing – I loved the results and the whole process. I have a great appreciation for unique projects, so working with Samsung represented an opportunity to further explore my creativity and encourage others to do the same by creating their own short films. I can’t wait for everyone to see the ‘Epic Worlds’ compilation – it’s a high quality collaboration.
In general, the project had the participation of high-level filmmakers to collaborate with the production of the campaign. In this sense, the idea is to promote characteristics such as creativity and collaborative spirit. The short’s director, Zee Ntuli, commented on what he thought of the result:
To be honest, it surprised me. I was very impressed with what this Galaxy device is capable of doing. What surprised me most was the smartphone’s performance in low-light conditions. Nightography is simply a remarkable feature
Nightography, in fact, is another of the highlights in this work. The functionality serves to give Samsung’s top of the line the ability to capture scenes in low light conditions, offering details and clarity in the results, trying to get closer to cinema quality.
